2016 National Volunteering Conference: Build the Future
The 16th National Volunteering Conference (6 - 8 April 2016, National Convention Centre, Canberra) is the principal Australian forum for not for profit leaders, volunteer managers, policy contributors and academics to come together to build knowledge, innovation, networks and leadership to advance volunteering.
If you are a researcher (experienced or novice) we encourage you to submit an 250-word abstract with a view to: presenting at Conference, participating in a researcher's forum on the final day of the Conference, and then submitting a full paper for consideration for a special issue of Third Sector Review focussing on Volunteering as a Subject for Research.
The call for abstracts closes on 24 July 2015. Abstracts are invited for: ? 45 minute oral presentation (30 minute presentation, plus 15 minutes for discussion) ? 45 minute interactive workshop ? Poster presentation
Submissions will be welcomed under four themes: Build Networks, Build Innovation, Build Knowledge, Build Leadership. The Conference is an excellent opportunity for researchers investigating volunteering and volunteer involving organisations to connect with organisations, peak bodies and other researchers in the field. The half day Researcher's Forum will present a targeted opportunity to resolve some of the challenges of research into volunteering.
The Conference has announced two keynote speakers: Dr Brendan Nelson (Director, The Australian War Memorial) and Susan J. Ellis (President, Energize Inc).
