Dear colleague,
The International Council for Science (ICSU)<http://www.icsu.org>, the International Social Science Council (ISSC)<http://www.worldsocialscience.org> and the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR)<http://www.unisdr.org/> have commissioned a Review of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk programme (IRDR)<http://www.irdrinternational.org>. The review aims to reflect on past achievements and provide recommendations for the future development of the programme over the next five years. The review is being conducted by a seven-member international panel, chaired by Professor Zenda Ofir, an international evaluation specialist and Honorary Professor at the School for Public Leadership at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
As part of the review, the panel is running a survey to get inputs from a wide range of scientists and other stakeholders working in the field of disaster risk on the programme’s achievements and impact as well as the broader DRR landscape.
If you are receiving this e-mail, it is because we value your insight and expertise in the field of disaster risk reduction, or more broadly on science for policy and practice. We would appreciate it if you could share your insight on current and emerging trends and opportunities that the scientific community should address in this field.
We would be very grateful if you could take 10-15 minutes to share your perspectives by responding to this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/33QLRZX<http://svy.mk/2agC5Xs>
In one of the questions you will need to refer to the attached list of IRDR publications, which serves as a reminder of the IRDR outputs to date.
The survey will close on 15 August 2016.
Some of you may already have been interviewed by the review panel, but we will nevertheless also appreciate your perspectives in this survey.
We thank you very much in advance for your contribution.
Kind regards,
Anne-Sophie Stevance
