CSEAS POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
Since 1963 the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at Kyoto University has sought to promote interdisciplinary scholarship on Southeast Asia and beyond. CSEAS offers scholars from around the world the opportunity to pursue a range of scholarly endeavours in the invigorating atmosphere of Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan and main repository of the country's cultural treasures.
CSEAS is now accepting applications for up to three postdoctoral fellowships on the themes of cross-regional studies, politics, the economy, social and cultural dynamics, the environment, and the global humanosphere.
The fellowships, which will be awarded in the first half of 2018, are tenable for a duration of 2 years (subject to performance evaluation). In addition to pursuing his/her own individual research agenda, there is a possibility of the fellow's involvement in the Center's teaching, research and outreach activities. Successful applicants will receive an appropriate stipend to cover international travel to and living expenses in Kyoto.
Research funds will be provided to facilitate his/her research activity.
