Some breaking news! With the help of NLA’s Council and Fellowships Advisory committee members, the Library is offering an expanded grant program for Asia study. As some of you will be aware, the National Library has, in addition to rich textual and pictorial Asian materials, a very large collection of Asian language mapping for most countries in the region, both early and current mapping.
Applications for study involving or including cartographic materials are invited as part of the program. The Study Grants are each up to 4 weeks residency, open to researchers in any discipline who need access to any of the Asian language and related collections in the Library. These grants are closing on September 30, and we are seeking your assistance to communicate this to your networks or contacts.
Please forward the flier to any you think may be interested (forwarded, not cut and paste else the links to the guidelines and application form won’t work).
The grants are supported by the Harold S. Williams Trust and private donors.
