?Animal Geographers - Are you, or is someone you know, looking for a 1 year teaching/research position in a liberal arts institution, in a position that focuses on marine ecology?

If yes - Please see below/attached for a 1-year VAP in Marine Ecology at Gettysburg College and help us to recruit a successful candidate pool by circulating widely through your networks! Gettysburg College is a residential undergraduate liberal arts institution located in South-Central PA (and situated within a few hours driving distance to Washington DC, New York City, Baltimore, and Philadelphia) with good access to the Chesapeake Bay and other mid-Atlantic coastal environments. Gettysburg College is a great place to work and the Environmental Studies department is a very welcoming and supportive place!

Grad students who are ABD but have teaching experience should definitely consider this position; job ad includes full position description and key qualifications are summarized below:

** PhD or ABD in Marine Ecology-related field is required; teaching experience or promise of excellence in teaching is desirable. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching or scholarship that they can contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of our community. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2017 and will continue until a successful candidate is found.**

Please visit our website to learn more about the ES department http://www.gettysburg.edu/academics/es/<http://www.gettysburg.edu/academics/es/>
I'm happy to answer questions about the position if needed - and applicants can also contact the search committee chair, Rud Platt (rplatt at gettysburg.edu)

Thanks!
