The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of Queensland invites applications for a post-doctoral position in Urban and Economic Geography. This opportunity offers a chance to conduct research on the global connectivities of the resources industries, with a focus on how mining and energy firms in Australian cities are networked internationally through their upstream and downstream linkages. The appointment is somewhat flexible in that appointees can elect to work either part-time for 12 months or full-time for 7-11 months. The appointment will commence in early 2018.
The successful appointee will be engaged as a postdoctoral research fellow with Dr Thomas Sigler in conjunction with colleagues at The University of Western Australia and Ghent University. Appointees will be given a high degree of input into theoretical approaches, and research methodology can be tailored to fit individual interests.
Prospective applicants can find further information here: http://jobs.uq.edu.au/caw/en/job/501424/postdoctoral-research-fellow. Please note the application deadline of 3 December, and kindly distribute this to your various networks.
