FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS: URBAN NETWORKS WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP THEME: "On the Edge: How Economic and Social Networks connect Cities and Regions in World Peripheries"

We invite researchers to submit their abstracts to a three-day symposium connecting leading academics, strategists, economic development practitioners, and advanced students to explore how network theory and science can be applied to novel questions of economic development, particularly in peripheral cities and regions. Abstracts should be limited to 250 words, and contain relevant information on data, methods, theory, and/or expected results. In addition to a research presentation, participants are expected to contribute a full-length manuscript to the resulting journal special issue. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by 25 January 2019. Abstracts will be evaluated based on relevance to the conference theme. Partial bursaries will be available, particularly for post-graduate students and early career applicants.
