Lecturer in Human Geography (Geographies of Environment and Development) in the Discipline of Geography and Environmental Studies, School of Environmental and Life Sciences, University of Newcastle
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Human Geography from candidates with a speciality in geographies of environment and development.
We especially welcome applications from candidates whose teaching and research is
at the interface of concerns about environmentally sustainable and socially just development in a climate changing world, while also cognisant of contemporary debates in human geography. The successful candidate will have a background in Australian or
international dimensions of one or more of the following areas:
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Human Geography or a related field. They will have a track record of, or potential for, excellence in publication
and research funding. The successful candidate will also show a commitment to teaching and RHD supervision excellence. They will perform administrative tasks commensurate with their grade and contribute to our wider human geography teaching program.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will contribute centrally to research in the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies (CURS).
