Ref 946/15 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Humanitarian and Development Studies, School of Social Sciences and Psychology



Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Humanitarian and Development Studies.  The Level B/C (Lecturer /Senior Lecturer) academic should have a PhD in any of the following fields of study: political science, humanitarian studies, international relation, or development studies. The candidate must have strong research concentration in conflict and peace studies  in the context of international development and/or in humanitarian assistance/disaster response and management or complex emergencies.  The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be expected to be involved in a range of academic activities including the development, coordination and teaching of new units in relevant to humanitarian and development studies across the school. The occupant will be expected to conduct research in humanitarian and development studies, international development, and/or complex emergencies in collaboration with Academic and Professional members of the School, and maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the teaching profession.
