Dear Colleagues,

The Australian Cities Research Network (ACRN) invites EOIs from universities interested in hosting the 2017 State of Australian Cities Conference (SOAC).

SOAC is Australia's largest dedicated conference for multi-disciplinary research on Australia's cities and urban questions.  Established in 2003 SOAC has a reputation for combining high quality research with a policy engaged ethos and a constructive collegial environment for dialogue on urban questions in Australia. The conference typically attracts 350 delegates over three days in late-November/early-December.  The 2015 SOAC will be hosted by Griffith University at the Gold Coast on 9-11 December.

The ACRN encourages hosting of SOAC via consortia of institutions typically with a lead organisation. A SOAC PhD Symposium also runs immediately prior to the conference proper.

Institutions seeking to enquire about EOI submission should contact the ACRN convener Jago Dodson via jago.dodson@rmit.edu.au to obtain ARCN bid guidelines.  Proposals from institutions outside the historical hosts are welcome.

Please circulate this email to any interested organisations.

Regards,

- Jago Dodson
