Development scenarios in the post-Millennium Development Goal era

Tony Binns, Etienne Nel and Jerram Bateman

Development theory and practice are at a crucial stage in light of;

-          Globalisation pressures associated with the Global Financial Crisis

-          Neo-liberalisation in the world economy

-          Theoretical debates about the ‘development impasse’, and the search for more nuanced approaches to development

-          New research methodologies

-          The transition from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The panel organizers would like to receive offers to present papers from researchers, development practitioners and others who have an interest in development theory and practice in the Pacific region and the wider world.

Please send abstracts (200 words) by 15 October to Tony Binns:

Please include the names and institutional affiliations of all presenters/authors.
