Abstract submission is now open for the first Energy Cultures Conference, which will be held in Wellington, New Zealand on July 6th and 7th 2016.

The conference invites theoretically-informed, empirical research and perspectives on energy-related behaviour and its role in transitioning to a sustainable energy future. The conference adopts a broad understanding of behaviour change that includes households, businesses and governments; energy and mobility; single-factor to systemic change.

The conference will bring together researchers, practitioners and policymakers, and as such the second day, Thursday 7th, will have a policy-specific focus.

We have keynote presentations confirmed from Professor Benjamin Sovacool, Professor Kajsa Ellegård, Associate Professor Malcolm McCulloch, and John A. ‘Skip’ Laitner.

Visit our website ( for further details about the conference and the programme as they become available.
