Throughout cities of the world today, an explosion in digital information and communications technology is producing a profusion of data as never before.  Supercomputers, artificial intelligence, big data, social media – cities are becoming sentient. In this provocative lecture, one of the world’s leading geographers examines what kinds of technological practices are becoming commonplace in cities today.
