Geographers with an interest in China will want to check out this  new atlas of land use in China, published 2015, at a scale of 1:1,000,000.

Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo Tudi Liyong Tuji / Land-Use Atlas of the People's Republic of China

Compiled by the Ministry of Land and Resources of the P.R. China. Scale 1:1 000 000.

Beijing: Geological Publishing House, Dec., 2015. 1 atlas (130 p.): colour; 56 cm. In Chinese.

There is another edition that maps land-use province wise, and two sheet maps at 1:6M and 1:4M respectively, from the same publisher.

These should be able to be sourced from your library's usual library vendors, including ILH Geocentre in Stuttgart if you can't find a Chinese vendor.

The atlas will make a most interesting comparison with a previous atlas at the same scale published exactly 25 years earlier (1990).
