Of potential interest to pass on to PhD students to intensively use the National Library’s collections for their own research this Summer break.
Only 10 days remain for PhD students to apply for a 2018 NLA Summer Scholarship – applications close September 30!
There are five summer scholarships on offer. They fund travel, accommodation at ANU University House in Canberra, and a living allowance for PhD students for six weeks to intensively use the Library’s collections for their own research this January/February. The 50+ previous Summer Scholars all say their Summer Scholarship was a ‘life-shaping’ experience.
The summer scholarships are open to students across any research interest that could utilise the NLA’s diverse collections - history, literature, the arts, humanities, geography, social sciences, library, archival and museum studies, biographical research and others. Could you please alert colleagues or PhD students to these scholarships, with the message: ‘10 days remain to apply’?
