This forum, supported by the Australia India Council, analyzes intercultural encounters in the context of expanding Australia-India student mobility. It draws on details of student experiences – both Australian students in India and Indian students in Australia – and includes visual/video memories.


Featuring students from several institutions and discussion with experts including Professor Aparna Rayaprol, University of Hyderabad; Professor Fazal Rizvi, University of Melbourne; Trevor Goddard, reference group member DFAT New Colombo Plan. The forum draws on research undertaken by Deakin University researchers, Dr Liudmila Kirpitchenko, Dr Michele Lobo and Professor David Lowe. It also enjoys the support of the Australia India Institute.
