The Geography and Spatial Sciences discipline within the School of Technology, Environments and Design integrates human geography, physical geography, spatial sciences, planning and environmental management research and teaching to advance the University’s strategic pursuit of addressing the challenges that arise at the intersection of science and society. The Surveying and Spatial Sciences group are the top ranked ‘Geomatic Engineering’ researchers in Australia, making substantial contributions across diverse disciplines including Physical Geography, Geophysics, Climate, Ecology and Oceanography.
