Hello all,

The Planning Program in the School of Built Environment at UNSW is looking for an outstanding teaching and research academic at Level B/C to join our team. The Program offers PIA-accredited degrees in City Planning at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and working together with the City Futures Research Centre, represents one of the foremost centres for urban planning research and education in Australia and indeed internationally. We are looking for an early to mid-career academic with a strong research track record (relative to opportunity) and extensive teaching experience to help deliver our accredited degree programs and contribute to research excellence. In terms of urban planning specialisations of particular interest, we are especially keen to hear from applicants with interests in land-use planning, regulatory frameworks and policy reform, urban management, and development. As well as academic experience, ideally you will also have gained experience working as a practising planner, whether in urban policy, local government or private practice. Your primary teaching, engagement and leadership responsibilities will sit in the Planning Program. Where appropriate, you will be encouraged to pursue your research interests in conjunction with the City Futures Research Centre, and take advantage of interdisciplinary opportunities across the School, Faculty and University.
